This completely new gaming mode allows players to directly challenge other players, opening a completely new way to play Marvel Snap. Firstly, to gain access to this new game mode, you need to update the Marvel Snap client. In Steam, the client will be updated automatically, but on the phone you need to go to the application store, find the Marvel Snap application and click update. As soon as this is done, friendly battles will appear in the form of a new tab in the lower part of the main menu of the game. This will be the field right to the right of the main box. Here you will find a new tab called game modes. Inside you will find friendly menu battles. There are two options in this menu: one for creating a lobby and one for joining. If you click create, the game will create a lobby and give you a code for copying and inserting. You need to give a code to a person to whom you challenge so that he can get into the option and use your code to join the lobby. The Friendly Battle menu also contains a set of rules to explain the game mode to players. The rules are as follows: Each player starts with 10 units of health, which must be depleted to zero to win. Victory in the round causes enemy health damage.
- The game mode uses the Snap Cube system as a source of damage, that is, one who loses, receives a damage equal to the sum of the delivered cube.
- If the game goes to the round of 5 or higher, Snap Cube will start pre-attached and go into a fully attached one if one player clicks on him. This helps to increase bet in the game and accelerate its completion.
- You cannot change the decks in the middle of the game and must end the game with the deck with which you started.
- You cannot put more health than you have at the moment. For example, if you have six health units and both players click, Snap Cube can only reach six cubes, and not to eight, as usual.
Some other important characteristics that should be noted are that players on PCs can compete with players on phones and vice versa. In addition, the interregional selection of players works, which means that players can play with friends from other regions of the world.
Is the new friendly fighting mode in Marvel Snap important?
To date, the friendly battle mode is perhaps the most important update that the game received. This not only allows friends to play against each other, but also indirectly introduces a tournament format into the game. Although you cannot hold tournaments directly using the client, the community will surely start holding tournaments on their own with this new opportunity to directly challenge opponents.
