Support in Overwatch 2: characters and everything you should know to keep your team alive

The supports or heal are one of the most important roles of any video game that possesses them. And I not only speak of World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2, but also others such as League you, Battlefield and Destiny 2, for example. They are represented as magicians, sorcerers, scientists and technological experts, but to practice they are doctors with great power.

Support in Overwatch 2: The heroes never die

The function of support in Overwatch 2 is to cure, shield and enhance the allies so that they can continue to fulfill their responsibilities. In my opinion, it is the most difficult role to dominate , most important and that requires more delivery of the player. Before starting to tell you everything you should know, I present you to the cast of characters:

What should support during the games?

The support class must heal, shield and enhance the team at all times. It is the most complicated class because it combines the most complex facets of the other two classes: making fast decisions and positioning . The Healer must know where to be at all times, what ally he needs more and when to cure and enhance. All at the same time in a frantic game.

Healers can be divided into three subclasses similar to DPS:

Their mobility and ability to avoid damage makes them ideal for aggressive equipment. In this subcategory they enter Brigitte, Lucio and Rico . Third line : The natural site of the heal is behind the tanks and DPS, being able to advance to the second line whenever necessary. In this subcategory they enter Baptiste, Mercy, Moira and Kenyatta . Shirts : This subcategory is very strange and is only Ana in it. Her weapon allows him to cure allies and damage enemies from very long distances (thanks to the sight). In addition, his skills allow him to damage melee in emergency situations to escape.

No matter the subclass you choose because your function is the same: heal and enhance at all times. There is no guide to do so. In this case, the practice makes the teacher . You must learn to read the games, to prioritize those who need healing and manage your character instinctively.

For obvious reasons, you must always have an eye on your companion Healer and another in the tank , and sideways you look at the DPS. Pay special attention to cure Ninjas DPS when they return from their incursions.

NATO

The supports or heal are perfect for another function: Lead the team . In the guide of the tanks I told you that these are seen as the leaders. It happens on many occasions, but it is not the most efficient. Support or Healer is the ideal for this position. Why?

When they are in rear, they have overview of the battlefield and can give faster and exact orders. The state of the team and its limits know first. A team that advances without taking into account Healer is a dead team. You must communicate with the tank to attack and go back.

If you want to be support or Healer you must master all the sections of Overwatch 2: Knowledge of the map and the heroes (allies and enemies) to know which to cure and enhance at all times. Knowing how to position yourself is very, very important. Finally, you mustgive yourself to the team *. If you are not an empathic, patient and capable of communicating correctly, forget this role... As much as you like a hero.
