The young footballers of FC Schalke 04 are again German B-Junior champions for the first time since 2002. In the final, Schalke prevailed 3: 2 (0: 0, 1: 1) against the talents of VfB Stuttgart. It is the third B junior title for the Gelsenkirchener.
The Swabians took the lead through captain Jan-Carlo Simic (54.).
But ten minutes later Tristan Osmani equalized in front of 3150 spectators and Osmani again converted the decisive attempt in the penalty shootout. The Schalke then had the slightly better nerves from the point. While they only shot twice, the Stuttgart failed three times.
