Union - Kuopio 0: 0 | Union in gauging into the group stage

Loud people and hopping the Union fans already celebrated the first home game on an international stage for almost 20 years - although it was not a home game. Due to less seats, Union plays the conference league games in the Olympic Stadium. The celebratory mood of the appendix did not abort - especially since after 4-0 in the first leg, no doubt was actually involved.

Awoniyi is missing the precision

Nevertheless, Coach Urs Fischer renounced the great rotation and changed the first-leg-eleven on only two positions: Teuchers and Becker started instead of Öztunali and Kruse (both bank). Awoniyi, who had made three gate participations in Finland, began again - and could have lace up a double pack after ten minutes. According to his two awarded opportunities (8., 9.) Knoche also left an excellent opportunity by head (14th), the well-established Kups-Keeper Kredl also parished against Friedrich (17.).

After the stormy initial phase with a variety of occasions, the Bundesligoister then switched back a gear without handing the game control. Kuopio only used a short overburded phase (Baumgartl's shoe broke had broken and had to be patched) to a preliminary possibility through the former Germany legionnaire Värynynen (31.). The best possibility of the first passage, however, once again had Awoniyi, who waived after a beautiful moving train over Trimmel and Teuchert freely before chalkl (45.).

Union with other opportunities - and negligence

Even after the side change, Union did not do much more than necessary, the ball continued to run and stressed dose attacks. Puchacz (61.) and Friedrich (67.) had other occasions, but the largest awarded, but tafter priced casually free from chalkl (74th). Even defensively, Union now operates a little careless and the previously largely harmless Finns came to good possibilities by Nissila (70.), Hairala (75.) and Hämäläinen (86.), which Luthe was strongly destroyed and thus the second zero Held on the scoreboard.

Union Berlin is therefore one of 32 teams, which is represented on Friday at 13.30 clock in the rick balls for the Conference League group phase. The first matchday takes place on 16 September. First, the Berliners are still required in the Bundesliga, on Sunday welcomes Union at 15.30 o'clock Borussia Mönchengladbach. For Kuopio, two hours later, the top game in the Finnish league at Hjk Helsinki stands.
